February ranks right at the top of the best months to target big trout in the Corpus Christi area. A lot of big trout come out of Baffin Bay and the Upper Laguna Madre this time of year. Other parts of the area produce monster trout as well, notably, the Land Cut. We seem to have escaped a bad fish kill during the cold snap that hit us right before the turn of the year. So we should be good to go for some excellent fishing in February and March. The best fishing for big trout often occurs on warm days between fronts. Some of the best catches will be in shallow water close to the pot holds and drains on the King Ranch Shoreline. Soft plastic rigged on a light jig head works well. If the water is off colored try using a darker plastic with a bright tail, this should be easier for the fish to see.

Rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice and fishing cleaning are included, just bring your food and drinks.
A $200.00 deposit is required to hold the date. Deposit is refundable with a two weeks cancellation notice.
